Role
In the E2PackMan project, Signify acts as Work Package 6 leader and as use case leader P3.C: LED lamp and LED driver. From technical point of view, Signify will develop miniaturized LED driver and electronics with new semiconductor package developed by use-case partner Infineon that will serve as a use case within E2PackMan.
Key Contribution
The key contributions from Signify will be the development of new tools to calculate product reliability and the use case of miniaturized LED electronics products with emphasize on:
- New insights and mathematical models of semiconductors in an electronic reliability modelling tool that results in longer product life that is a sustainable advantage.
- Development of miniaturized LED drivers with smaller PCB areas, smaller housings hereby less material consumption and with that lower impact to the environment too.
- Supporting all dissemination activities to guarantee internal and external publishing of the project results.
- E2PackMan WP6 lead “Electrical and Reliability Testing and Methodologies for Heterogeneous Integration” and use case leader P3.C: LED lamp and LED driver.
