Micro-PackS

Micro-PackS is a non-profit research and innovation association based in Gardanne, France, located on the Georges Charpak Campus (Centre Microélectronique de Provence).

The association operates a collaborative technology platform providing shared access to laboratories, advanced equipment, and a 600 m² cleanroom dedicated to microelectronics assembly and packaging activities. Its technical expertise covers microelectronics packaging, materials characterization, reliability testing, and secure electronic systems.

Micro-PackS supports collaborative R&D, prototyping, and technology validation by pooling infrastructure and expertise from industrial and academic partners. The platform enables the development and testing of innovative electronic components and advanced packaging solutions, facilitating technology transfer and supporting the maturation of emerging technologies towards proof-of-concept and pre-industrial demonstration.

Role

Micro-PackS will contribute to the development and optimization of interconnection processes between components and substrates, support the fabrication of advanced encapsulation packaging, and implement reliability testing procedures to ensure the performance, robustness, and long-term durability of the final assembly.

Key Contribution

  • Development and optimization of interconnection technologies between electronic components and substrates.
  • Contribution to the design and fabrication of advanced encapsulation and packaging solutions.
  • Implementation of reliability testing protocols to assess mechanical, thermal, and environmental robustness.
