In Romania, Infineon operates R&D centers focused on the development of semiconductor products for automotive, digital security, industrial and IoT applications. An R&D center of competence, with over 60 engineers, focused on cutting edge EDA tools and AI technologies for product design is also located in Romania.
Role
Our R&D teams are developing design methodologies to ensure robust and reliable power devices. The main focus is on co-design and co-optimization of power devices within chip-to-package integration. The deliverables will include:
- Software verification tools for efficient electro-thermo-mechanical analysis of power devices
- AI driven optimization of product manufacturing costs while accounting for process variations at package level.
Key Contribution
We will leverage our teams’ expertise in the electro-thermal reliability of power devices to improve the overall robustness of the chip-package system. We will provide digitalization expertise to create AI-based platforms for co-design of power devices.
